- What is YOOSE?
YOOSE is a mobile advertising and couponing platform that allows consumers to receive location-based offers/messages from businesses nearby. Find out more about us by navigating through our website and the rest of these FAQ.
- How does YOOSE work?
YOOSE broadcasts location-targeted banner ads within smartphone apps. These are seen by consumers who are in close proximity to the advertiser’s outlet(s). GPS technology in smartphones and cell tower triangulation both help in determining the location of the mobile user.
- What do I need to see YOOSE mobile ads?
All you need is a mobile device with internet connection, and to be using one of our partner apps.
- What kind of offers/messages can I expect to see?
These are unique and vary depending on the advertiser and location. It can be anything from a new product launch, to special discounts or free trials. We have a vast selection of offers ranging from broad categories like Eat & Drink, Leisure & Entertainment, Fitness, Beauty & Wellness and etc.
- How does YOOSE engage consumers?
The user receives an in-app banner ad, which gives a brief description and displays the distance from the outlet. Clicking on the banner will bring him/her swiftly to the coupon landing page. In the coupon, there are more details about the offer, as well as access to additional functions such as map navigation.
- Is there a YOOSE app to download?
No, we do not have our own app. Instead, we work with partner apps and publishers, which have their own extensive network of apps, to broadcast the banner ads. The idea is that YOOSE works on the apps that users already have, eliminating the need for consumers to download yet another app.
- Which apps feature YOOSE banner ads?
The YOOSE publishers’ network is growing all the time and currently stands at 11,000 apps worldwide covering a wide variety of app types including games, news, lifestyle, utilities and social networking. You name the category, we have it!
Just to name a few, we work on IRC, Soccer Livescores, Heywire, Huffington Post and etc.
- What are the validity terms for YOOSE coupons?
This depends on the coupon provider (i.e. advertiser). The coupons are usually valid for 1-2 weeks, and can even go beyond a month.

- What can YOOSE do for my business?

- What benefits can location-based advertising bring for me?
Your messages/offers would be significantly relevant and visible to a highly responsive audience who are actively seeking you out. Since consumers are already within close proximity of your outlet, they are very likely to respond to your offer/message by visiting your outlet. Compare this with someone viewing a display ad at a bus stop miles away, or someone lounging comfortably at home watching a TV ad, and you can see the dramatic difference in terms of convenience and incentive for consumers to respond to a location-based ad.
- Why mobile couponing?
Coupons are deemed to be a very effective promotional tool that can have a significant influence over consumers’ buying intent. They can stimulate a passive or sluggish market with fresh incentives, as well as raise brand awareness. In addition, this is also a great way to reward your existing customers, encourage them to make more purchases and thereby convert them into loyal customers.
There’s no need to print coupons anymore. For the consumers, this saves them from having to clip, print or remember to bring the coupons. For your business, you save on production costs of printing coupons, and the time spent on distributing physical coupons via print media to your customers.

- What are the distinctive features of YOOSE compared to other platforms?
1) We are supported by a vast publisher network for optimal reach and resonance with target consumers.
2) While we are always ready to work with you on the long-term, you are not forced into long-term commitment with us. Instead of fixing commitments that last at least a year or two, we offer campaign packages of 1, 3 or 6 months. And if you’re happy with the results you’re seeing, you can easily renew your campaign with us.
3) You have full control over your campaign. We do not interfere with the running of your campaign, or compel you to provide discounts above a specific threshold.
4) We do not require you to split your revenue with us.
- Making coupon offers does not seem to go well with my brand positioning. I don’t wish to run offers on a regular basis and erode my brand image.
If you do not feel inspired by the benefits of couponing mentioned above, you do have the option to simply run advertisements without offering coupons. The extensive reach of our advertising platform will help you get to consumers with messages specifically designed by your company, and that are consistent with your existing marketing strategies.
- What is the clientele base of YOOSE?
We’ve worked with big brands and small businesses alike, most of which are in the F&B, beauty services and retail businesses. We are constantly reaching out to new clients as well.
- What kind of advertisements/promotions can I run with YOOSE?
You have the flexibility for a wide range of campaigns types – straightforward promotional campaigns (such as discounts, free trials etc.), seasonal campaigns, multiple/linked campaigns, CRM campaigns, support cross-media campaigns, partner programs or even those that have a viral forwarding incentive.
- Do my customers have to pay up front when they receive my coupons?
No. They will only have to pay the full amount of transaction to you directly when they are redeeming the coupons.
- Who will receive my advertisements?
Smartphone users who are within 2 km radius from your outlet, and are using partner apps or apps that are part of our publishers’ networks.
- What is the potential reach of my advertisements?
We are seeing an average of more than 7,000 impressions every day. That’s more than 210,000 impressions every month! The audience who can be reached through our network of approximately 11,000 apps worldwide is also, as you can imagine, highly substantial.
- Is this spamming?
No, YOOSE does not support spamming. Our banner ads are large enough to be noticed, yet small enough to be unobtrusive to the app user. This makes our ads highly unlikely to be perceived as spam. Only if the consumer is interested in the offer and clicks on the banner would he/she be shown the full-blown coupon. Also, because of the relevance of location based advertisements, they are usually deemed to be useful to the consumer.
- I’m still quite uncertain about the effectiveness of location-based mobile advertising and mobile couponing. Convince me.
Industry analysts predict mobile coupons will generate $6 billion in global redemption values by 2014, and mobile coupon redemption rates often exceed 50%, making mobile couponing one of the fastest-growing and most effective advertising options of our time.
Location-based advertising will generate more than 60% of total location-based services revenue in 2015 (Pyramid Research).
Research from Gartner, BIA/Kelsey and Strategy Analytics have shown that the expanding consumer adoption of smartphones will increasingly rive the growth of location based services and mobile advertising, with strong evidence of consumer demand rising in line with it.
- How do I start advertising with YOOSE?
You may contact us to book your campaign via email: info@yoose.com. In the meantime, you can sign up for an account by clicking the Sign Up button. Upon validation of account and payment, your campaign would be ready to go live.
- I have more than one outlet/store. Can I run my campaign for all of them? Do I have to?
You may choose to include only one of your outlets, or extend the campaign to all of them.
- What if I have overseas outlets/business I would like to advertise for as well?
While we are largely based in Singapore, Germany and India, it is definitely possible for us to help you launch a campaign in other countries/cities. Talk to us about it: info@yoose.com.
- How much does it cost for a campaign with YOOSE?

- Do I have to split my revenue with YOOSE?
No, we do not require you to split your revenue with us.
- After I’ve made my payment to YOOSE, how long does it take for my campaign to go live?
Your campaign would go live immediately after payment is finalised, and we will send you a confirmation email. Thereafter, the coupons that you create in the B2B portal would be rendered in real-time. Your customers could instantly receive your banner ads once you get started.
- What do I need to do for my campaign with YOOSE?
Using the B2B portal, you need to set up your campaign by: 1) adding your participating outlets, and 2) creating your coupons and linking them to the stores.
- How can I check to see if my campaign is already live and active?
You can check on our mobile site (www.m.yoose.com) to see if your campaign is listed there; it would only appear there if it is activated and live.
- How do I add a new store location?
On your first log-in, you would be asked to add a store for a start. To add more stores, click on the “Stores” tab. Then, click on the “New” button and fill in the name and address of the store as required.
- How do I create a coupon?
You should create a coupon only after you’ve added all your participating outlets. Click on the “Coupons” tab, then the “New” button, and follow the instructions provided.
- How do I make changes to my existing coupon?
You can view your existing coupon(s) by going to the “Coupons” tab. Then, scroll to the coupon you wish to change and click on the “Edit” link. The changes that you make would be updated immediately.
How often can I make changes to my campaign?
You can modify your campaign as many times as you like. As a word of advice, try not to make too many changes as this may cause confusion to your customers.
- Can I create more than one coupon for each of my outlets?
Yes, you can.
- Is there a maximum number of coupons I can create?
You may create as many coupons as you wish. However, as a friendly advice, doing so would not only reduce the number of impressions for each coupon, but might also confuse your customers regarding your promotions.
- Can I create different coupons for different outlets?
Yes. Every time you create a coupon, you would be given the option to select which outlets to be linked with the coupon.
- Can the number of redeemable coupons be limited?
You have the ability to define the number of redeemable coupons, whether it’s one coupon per customer, or a limited number of coupons per outlet on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Can I track how many times my banner ad appears, and how many times they have been clicked?
Sure. We provide statistics (e.g. impressions, clicks) and charts in your account which are updated every 4 hrs, so that you can monitor the effectiveness of your campaign.
- Is it possible to keep track of the redemption of my coupons?
Yes, it is definitely possible, although it is optional. It would require some work on your part.
If you have imaging scanners, you can scan the QR code at the point of sale and have it linked to our back-end system. Do note that if you are using traditional bar code scanners, those will not be able to read the codes off-screen from the mobile phone.
As an alternative, you can note down the short, unique code at the bottom of the coupon. Then, enter the code into our backend system, and the redemption of coupons would be updated immediately.
- How often are the statistics shown on the portal updated?
The statistics are updated every 2-4 hours.
